HIV is a pretty unserious diagnosis nowadays. You basically have to take a shot in your butt every other month. Alternatively, a pill a day. These meds can have some long term effects sometimes like kidney damage, but there are different meds your doctor can try.

Sucks to have a chronic disease and having to take meds, but it's hardly a scary diagnosis these days.
