I'm thinking of doing the same, just waiting on the data download request to go through. I wish I could delete it immediately though..

Same though, I feel this has given me the push I needed to quit Reddit entirely. I'd gotten control over pretty much all other social media so I honestly appreciate this in a way.

If you're still waiting on your data download there's a tool called Reddit-user-to-sqlite you can use it to get it yourself. It's a better format to the zero effort shit Reddit will give you too. I used it as I was still waiting for my requested takeout from Reddit and the data's easy enough to browse in a database browser.

One thing I'm not sure people are aware of before deleting their accounts...you can't delete comments and posts on private subs (the irony lol!) so you may want to hang on and check back if you want absolutely everything gone.
