Welcome to the Stable Diffusion community, dedicated to the exploration and discussion of the open source deep learning model known as Stable Diffusion.
Introduced in 2022, Stable Diffusion uses a latent diffusion model to generate detailed images based on text descriptions and can also be applied to other tasks such as inpainting, outpainting, and generating image-to-image translations guided by text prompts. The model was developed by the startup Stability AI, in collaboration with a number of academic researchers and non-profit organizations, marking a significant shift from previous proprietary models that were accessible only via cloud services.

I tried, about 3 months ago, to get consistent characters working using that exact same tutorial. I had a vague notion of maybe actually building a video game... Talentless as I am at visual arts.
Long story short, I got it to work well enough to temp myself into a false sense of potential success, only to spend hours and hours generating images that were so frustratingly, tantalizingly close to what I wanted!
If I actually was a talented, skilled visual artist, I think I could use this as a starting place to do really cool work much faster... But, I just eventually got frustrated with the minor flaws and inconsistencies between the images I was spending so much time generating.
