Good evening, brothers and sisters in hell.

My bobo self is impressed hahaha

Sobrang convenient niya!

Agree ang useful ng mga features niya and it's kinda nice that it works on different DE kahit hindi KDE yung gamit mo. Also being able to send files from phone to your desktop and vice versa is quite handy.

Pero kung routine naman na, Syncthing gamit ko (like for transferring photos from phone to the PC, or transferring my game save files from the PC to the phone).

bukod sa default na media control, i add sa command yung brightness up, and down kaya nagiging remote control for my media.

anyway I highly recommend jellyfin as your media organizer parang nakanetflix ka itsura, pero instead of streaming online it uses your local files.

Turn screen on and off are helpful also. I tend to keep my laptop on for musics and sounds throughout the night since I tend to have nightmares kapag tahimik yung kwarto and much better if naka off yung screen kapag di ginagamit.

Is it better than Plex? I tried Plex before but I didn't like it that much. Thanks for the recommendation, gonna try jellyfin.

jellyfin is free and

opensource

i haven't tried plex,

pero based sa google results jellyfin is better.

I've tried emby, mas better yung jellyfin dun

Anong OS ang gamit mo? Linux o Windows?

Type in "KDE Connect Settings".

Sa command-line:

$ kdeconnect-settings

I-click mo yung device mo. sa "Available plugins", scroll down until mahanap mo yung "Run commands", tsaka piliin mo yung hog icon.

Linux, specifically, Pop_OS. KDE connect also works on Windows? Didn't know that hahaha

[–] megane_kun@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

It also works on windows, haven't really used it that much on windows tho since Linux ang madalas kong gamit.

[–] bathalumang_peppa@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Not using windows that much, too. Trying to get used to Linux (although I've used it before) since below minimum requirements ko for an upgrade for a Windows 11. I don't play that much online games and the games I played works well naman sa Linux. Kinda bummed na di nagana yung Adobe apps but I'm getting used to other alternatives hahah

Good luck! Mejo kasalanan ko rin tho, since sa sobrang tuwa ako sa customizability ng XFCE, at lalo na ng KDE, mukhang napa-over ata ako sa customized workflow like mouse scroll (on the desktop) for changing between virtual desktops, mouse guestures for moving windows around, etc.

Di ako madalas nag-oonline games eh, so ala akong idea, pero sabi sa akin anti-cheat programs lang naman daw talaga na halos ang hadlang for parity sa Windows in comes to gaming. Ako?

Kinda bummed na di nagana yung Adobe apps but I’m getting used to other alternatives hahah
