Hello, a technician recently installed fiber internet through my yard without any conduit as he said the cable is water and sun resistant. Is this legit? I'm debating whether I should put the cable inside a PVC conduit/trunking or leave it as it is and would like a second opinion.

Thanks!

Confirm if that's how they intend to leave it.

We have a fiber ISP in my town. If you sign up for service in the cold months when the ground is frozen, they'll install it this way TEMPORARILY. When spring rolls around, they come back and run it underground.
