Generally speaking I would suggest if creating new ones to avoid very big instances, since those are currently a bit overloaded and struggling to get the content across to other instances. Prime instance of this is lemmy.ml where it can take multiple hours if ever for content to catch up.

From any lemmy instance? Or from the ones at fromshado.ws? I have had some issues with Firefox hosted kbin but it seems to have improved over time.

Nono I mean I couldn't federate with the firefox community that was hosted in kbin

Ohh my bad, yeah I guess I have to hope it'll fix on kbin eventually.
Luckily I can still find and interact with the individual threads like this one until then.
