With so many books being published every day, how do you find a book you want to read?

I usually go through recommendations on Goodreads, and I keep track of what books my favourite authors are publishing.

It's a tough one, but sometime, you really have to take a plunge to read what's popular if you don't have a reliable recommendation list or people you trust. What I do is skimming the book by reading a chapter in the beginning, the chapter in the middle, and then the chapter at the end if only the book is a trilogy kind of book. It would spoil you a bit on the first book, but it also save you time if it's a crap book.
