From a purely research point of view, very interesting work, but in its current form not very practical. This is what a MEG scanner looks like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnetoencephalography . Also the model does not work with imagination or while doing some secondary tasks. But things could be very different two papers down the line. As with any technology it can be used for good or evil
