Anybody know what kind of bug? A type of beetle? Edit: I put it through a bug search and it says it's an italian striped bug, a type of stink bug!

Looks like an arthropod. Someone who knows bugs might give a more specific answer.

Yep, the bright stripes indicate that they taste bad and there are many kinds of stink bug in the shield bug family. I’d give this specimen a wide berth.
