I personally have been using lineage os for some time now and I am curious how many others use F-droid and lineage os like I do

CalyxOS (MicroG) on the phone and crDroid (No MicroG or Gaaps) on the Tablet

my banking app works on the phone and Aurora Store helps to get Google Play apps if needed

Is mobile banking that popular of a thing? Couldn't you just go to the bank? Or for that matter you could just use the website

If the app wouldn't work I would probably test other means like it's mobile website but if it works, why not? I'm using a direct bank though which doesn't have branches anywhere in my country while ATMs typically only allow withdrawing from my account

Apps are vehicles for persistent trackers on your device, whereas with a mobile browser you have more freedom to install an ad/tracking blocker. Also, if no one uses the mobile website anymore, the bank will likely shut it down eventually (there are several "fintech" banks that don't have a usable website already. In this way, apps may lock you into the Android/iOS duality.
