Please make sure you have "undetermined" selected in your list of spoken languages in your lemmy settings in addition to any other languages you speak.

Most lemmy content does not come through with a language tag, and you need to have undermined selected as an option to see that content.

I really hope this 'issue' gets clarified/fixed at a higher level at some point, because it do be a little confusing :)

Yeah. They need to include it by default, but let people turn it off.

They also need to let people choose a default language for their posts so that more of them actually have language tags.

They'll get there eventually

Indeed, but I'm sure that with the current influx there will be much more focus on usability issues like this. Gotta take away the small bumps.
