For me it's been communities like /r/buildapc, /r/buildapcforme, /r/buildapcsales, /r/gamedeals, and /r/consoledeals have been useful throughout the years.

I've made a post on !canada@lemmy.ca listing existing provincial communities! Some are old and haven't seen any activity in a while, and some are quite new! I started a community for New Brunswick, and the person who created /r/pei made a community here as well.
