this has taken a few days longer than i intended and there are reasons for that which are not ideal. in short: pretty much right as i went on vacation i broke my computer in a way that should have been a total loss and it's currently in the shop for repairs. i do not have an ETA on when i can expect it back. this wouldn't be such an issue but then on vacation my phone began to throw battery errors and is now basically bricked. luckily, i have a backup computer which i can work from for most things--and i'm typing this from here. this should at least allow me to keep some eyes on the website that i haven't been able to previously, although not at the same convenience as usual.

but obviously this means i don't have a few things currently: my main computer or my phone--and maybe not the money to cover these expenses. i am currently on the hook for what is going to be at least $270 and to say the least that is not a trivial amount of money for me. i hope to have that covered but i'm not sure i do.

i will hopefully know by the end of the week what the total cost of all of this is (and hopefully have my computer back by then). i'm also hoping a simple manual battery replacement will solve my phone's problems in that time (i've placed an order which should come in tomorrow). but the circumstances are overall--and as you might be able to tell--not great

A software problem can often be fixed remotely, a physical problem requires physical access.

makes a difference in asking for help,

Asking your community for help before dropping hundreds of dollars isn't a physical or non physical issue.

As I said in my replies. The internet is vast, there isn't a remote possibility that they are near other beeple that would be willing to handle it?

If they were in illinois or southern wisconsin, I could have done it for free.

I have also remotely, through video call, walked people through replacing computer parts with no issues.

It doesn't matter if it is a physical or software problem. There are alternatives to being hundreds of dollars in the red.
