I just got a another copy of the image only post from an account created about an hour ago:

The spammer really thought that posting an unsuspecting girl’s pics on the most wholesome place on the internet would get her hate. It got her a fanbase instead!

As it looks like the account names now have "real names" that dont really follow any order. The accounts now also come from bigger instances like sh.itjust.works

Edit: got the same one again, by the same account.

Edit: and i got a third one. Blocked the account now.

Comparing the two images, you can see the big PF sign in the background + the red circular roof, same ceiling and general layout. This is the same building as is shown in the Friendica pictures.

This looks like some form a harassment campaign, and it's definitely not AI. My two cents is that the pictures on friendica are screenshots from a video call, a call which given Nicole appears to work in retail, is probably not being taken on the next gen camera, and may have been on data - hence the low quality.

That all said, it's good evidence that this woman is a real person, and that the name age etc are likely fairly accurate?

I don't have explanations for the PC video call images like at all. Although one thought I did have, is that this is a pig butchering victim, and they are now using her likeness to target others? Or as blackmail?

Actually got three when I was scrolling through, but I didn't notice until after I took this.

The DM is now just an image, with the message text in the image.

This is most likely a way to circumvent automatic moderation.

Pretty sure I didn't get the message 3 days earlier tho

Just got a DM from a nicole account recently and it seems they've stepped up their game and are now using only images, no text, to prevent from being detected by automated systems, or having their links censored via the slur regex.

little do they know nobody is going to type out those urls by hand...

Today I received a DM from frida@lemmy.world and wonder if it is another Nicole type DM-wave or real (as real as random strangers on the internet can be).
Did someone else also received such DMs?

I wonder why it stopped for a while. Seems like the new batch doesn't include the crypto adresses. I guess that's a good thing maybe?

Looks like she moved onto sending photos instead of text.
