What are everyone's thoughts on the Marathon situation? Many PvP players are worried for Destiny, and many others are worried Marathon is taking from the Destiny team in general too much.

June is Pride month here at Bungie and this year, we’re getting louder and feeling prouder than ever! Through the combined efforts of our Trans@Bungie and the newly formed Pride@Bungie IDEAs (Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity Associations), we’ve organized several activities and events to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community this year, and we’re excited to bring some of that celebration to you all as well. If you are looking to show off your own colors this year, we have a couple of goodies for you, BUT before we get into those details, let’s take a moment to about what Pride is and why it matters.

WHY PRIDE MATTERS

Why does Pride matter? It’s a good question and one that doesn’t have any one answer. It’s a celebration. It’s a family. It’s remembrance of a history full of people that were willing to put everything on the line for the freedom to be who they truly are. History like 1969’s Stonewall Riots that sparked a flame that rages even now for the modern gay rights movement in the United States. History like same-sex marriage legalization efforts in countries like Spain, South Africa, Sweden, France, Austria, Taiwan, and so many more over the past 20 years.

It’s about never giving up on protecting those in the LGBTQ+ community that are still being persecuted because of who they are and their gender identity.

It’s also about celebrating within the community and with allies, showing a force of love and acceptance to bring a little light to the world where others would dim it. It’s about celebrating our authentic selves, our right to love, and our right to be.

At the end of the day, Pride is about never being quiet and knowing that you are enough.

In continued celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community, Pride@Bungie couldn’t wait to collaborate with Trans@Bungie to craft a meaningful, educational, and encompassing Pride Month for our employees here at the studio and for our community, so let’s dive right in, shall we?

YOU GET AN EMOTE, YOU GET AN EMOTE

Last year, thanks to the effort of many folks across the studio, we were able to share a message with our entire community on National Coming Out Day, as well as release Pride-themed wallpapers featuring several of Destiny 2’s LGBTQ+ cast. Additionally, we also announced the free release of the End of the Rainbow transmat for all players. (If you're like "Wow, that sounds awesome” but you missed the original memo, check out that link above!)

This year, we're excited to bring you one more piece of in-game content, coming to you live in the heart of Pride Month. The shades of Pride are broad and diverse, and we all shine a little brighter against the dark when we shine together. Starting today, you can summon rainbows outside of transmat, too, with the Rainbow Connection emote.

https://youtu.be/mYQ_8MskDTs

Want to emote your way into another wonderful Pride? We get it. No worries, we’ve got you covered. And just in case you missed last year’s Transmat, we’ve got that for you as well. Enjoy!

  • Emote goodness: TK7-D3P-FDF

  • Transmat goodness: R9J-79M-J6C

But the opportunity for Pride flair isn’t just digital... let's bring that Pride to our IRL builds as well.

WEAR YOUR PRIDE ON YOUR SLEEVE

This year, we are continuing our support for the It Gets Better Project and offering new ways for folks to donate to a wonderful charity. If you’re unfamiliar with the work that It Gets Better Project does for our community, here’s a quick crash course for you to enjoy:

The It Gets Better Project is a global movement that aims to uplift and support lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) youth. It was created in 2010 by Dan Savage, a beloved LGBTQ+ activist and author, in response to a spate of suicides among LGBTQ+ teenagers. The project seeks to provide hope, encouragement, and resources to LGBTQ+ young people who may be experiencing bullying, harassment, or isolation due to their sexual orientation or gender identity.

The central message of the It Gets Better Project is that life improves for LGBTQ+ individuals as they navigate adolescence and transition into adulthood. The initiative encourages people from all walks of life to share their personal stories of struggle, acceptance, comradery, and resilience through videos or other forms of media. These stories aim to provide support, foster a sense of community, and inspire LGBTQ+ youth to persevere through challenging times.

If you are looking to donate and support this wonderful organization, we have some good news: the Pride 2.0 pin is back in stock in the Bungie Store! Each purchase of the Pride 2.0 pin will include the Infinite Prismatic Emblem and 100% of the proceeds for the month of June will directly support the It Gets Better Project.

If your pin collection is full but you’re looking to show off that sweet emblem, no worries - we got you covered. A direction donation to the Bungie Foundation grants you the emblem seen alongside the pin pictured above, as well!

And there you have it, folks! Hopefully, we have provided you all with more than enough ways for you to show off your colors and celebrate Pride in your own way. This Pride Month let’s celebrate our communities and progress we’ve made. Whether you’re a member of the community or an ally, don’t forget that we still have far to go!

Apotheosis Veil was my favorite exotic back in Destiny 1. It wasn't necessarily great back then, but it was decent in that sandbox, and it looks amazing (in my opinion). However, in Destiny 2, it's been power crept like crazy. Sunbracers now gives near infinite uptime to a D1 super, and this helmet gives you your other abilities back after a super cast. Abilities that are super easy to get back on void on their own.

What changes do you think could be made to it? I think one of the obvious changes would be to make it a super exotic. Maybe it could be like a Warlock version of Star Eater Scales.

I've always loved how this bow looks, so now I definitely want to get one of these rolls to mess with. Seems super fun!

I’ll try to post these as they happen. Maybe figure out some automation so it doesn’t have to be done manually.

Activities

Crucible

  • Fixed an issue where the Dazzling Iridescence Trials emblem could be awarded from the Flawless chest without completing the necessary requirements.
  • Players who have already acquired the emblem will need to complete the requirements after this patch goes live in order to equip the emblem.
  • Fixed an issue with spawn trapping that could occur on meltdown.

Raids and Dungeons

  • Fixed an issue where players can damage bosses in Ghosts of the Deep through immunity shields.

Gameplay and Investment

Armor

  • Gyrfalcon's Hauberk's reserve overshield now deploys when a player uses Ensnaring Slam.
  • Fixed an issue where Khepri's Horn could disable various non-enemy objects.
  • Fixed an issue where Vesper of Radius's effects were triggering on things other than casting a rift.
  • Fixed an issue where Point-Contact Cannon Brace would create lightning strikes on melees other than Thunderclap.
  • Fixed an issue where becoming frozen would disable Arbor Warden's Exotic perk.
  • Fixed an issue where Arbor Warden would cause the Juggernaut aspect to not interact with your class ability energy correctly.
  • Fixed an issue causing Sunbracers to not improve Solar grenades.
  • Fixed an issue causing Helm of Saint-14 to not provide any effects.
  • Fixed an issue causing Verity's Brow to not function in PvP.
  • Fixed an issue causing No Backup Plans to buff non-Shotgun damage in certain situations.
  • Fixed an issue where Athrys's Embrace's buff icon wasn't appearing in the HUD in PvP.
  • The artifact perks Amped Up and Electric Armor no longer have their perk names switched.

Weapons

  • Fixed an issue where some older Iron Banner Special/Power weapons had lost their scope glint.
  • Fixed an issue where purchasing a Last Wish deepsight weapon from Hawthorne would unintentionally award bonus pattern progress on top of the progress provided by consuming the deepsight on the weapon itself.
  • Increased the size of the red dot in Mecurial Overreach's scope to respond to player feedback.
  • Reduced the Collective Action weapon perk's damage against Guardians to 10%, (from 20%).
  • Changed the Navigator's intrinsic trait icon.

Abilities

  • Fixed an issue where certain thrown projectiles were able to over penetrate allied Titan Barricades.
  • Fixed an issue where Arc Jolt damage to minor combatants was lower than intended following the scaling changes in 7.1.0.

Commerce/Eververse

  • Fixed an issue where the Twitch sub bounty emblem, Pulsar Approaching, is not re-acquirable or equippable.

Triumphs

  • The "Second Reckoning" Triumph now displays the correct weapon names.
  • The "Spend Salvage Keys" Triumph now correctly progresses when a Salvage Key is spent instead of erroneously progressing the "Spend Deep Dive Keys" Triumph.
  • Fixed an issue on the Ambitious Angler Triumph where all players were getting credit for one player catching an exotic fish.

General

  • Weekly Challenges for Vanguard Ops and Gambit now reward the correct number of Exotic engrams.
  • Re-enabling Tier 1 Exotic Focusing on Master Rahool.

Since r/DestinytheGame is still down, figured we could start a Clan Recruitment Thread here

I created a community for people to post their builds for Destiny 2 (similar to r/destiny2builds). Feel free to give it a look if that is something that interests you. I am new to Lemmy so hopefully the link to the community works.

For me it's feeling a bit better than Season of the Plunder. Solid story beats, but the activity gets a bit boring quick. How about you?

Datto's been my personal favorite Destiny creator since day one, and he just uploaded a video looking back on it all over the past ten years. It feels surreal having these decade milestones coming up; first the E3 reveal, and next year, a decade of the game itself.

After King's Fall, most people have expected Wrath of the Machine to return next season, though now I've seen speculation that it could be Leviathan, which opens up a lot of doors since that's a D2 raid. What do you all think it'll be, or what do you want it to be?

Personally, I'm rooting for WotM, but also Crota's End because I really enjoyed that one. Though honestly, I wish they'd do the crowd favorite idea of turning CE into a dungeon.

Ultimately, I'm down with any raid and am excited to go for another day one clear!

Most people know about the absolutely cracked crafted weapons like Ikelos SMG w/ Feeding Frenzy Voltshot.

What are some lesser known crafted weapons you think people should know about or that you just find to be super fun to use?

Mine would be Smite of Merain (King's Fall Pulse Rifle). It's such a solid weapon that I never see. I use Stats for All/One for All which is a great combo to have in endgame content.

The other one I don't see a lot of is Throne Cleaver (Titan class sword). I was able to craft one with Incandescent and damn does it feel great to slam into a group of enemies and watch them go boom.

Share your favorite new crafted weapon rolls for Season 21 (Season of the Deep)! I'll start:

Techeun Force:

  • Hammer Forged (more range)
  • Liquid Coils (more damage)
  • Reconstruction (more ammo)
  • Controlled Burst (more damage)

Apex Predator:

  • Hard Launch (faster rockets)
  • Impact Casing (more damage)
  • Reconstruction (more ammo in mag)
  • Bait and Switch (big damage boost)

Transfiguration:

  • Arrowhead (100 recoil)
  • Accurized (more range)
  • Rampage (more damage)
  • Kill Clip (more more damage)

Some others I have but haven't leveled up yet. I'd like to hear what people think are good rolls on these:

  • Different Times
  • The Supremacy
  • Tyranny of Heaven
  • A Distant Pull

Decided to make this community for the game I love to help see it grow here. I currently intend for this community to encompass all things Destiny, including Destiny 1 and 2, but we'll see how things go and adjust from there.

A few rules are located within the sidebar, as well as some community resources, creators, and other Lemmy communities.

Until an automated solution is found, weekly and daily reset information can be found here at D2 Checklist, also linked in the sidebar. Go share this community around and try to help grow it!

Feel free to make suggestions for the community here as well. All input is welcomed!

I only play my Warlock now, and I'm pretty much 50/50 on Sunbracers and Chromatic Fire.

Sunbracers are very flexible with weapons, and I mainly use Conditional Finality, Hollow Denial (Lead From Gold + Killing Tally), and The Other Half for well skating.

For Chromatic Fire, I just use Wish Ender and arc. Wish Ender is already insanely powerful, and the added blinding explosions are just so good. I usually pair it with Forbearance or Techeun Force (Rewind Rounds + Controlled Burst), and Apex Predator (Reconstruction + Bait and Switch).

What is everyone else here rocking this season?
