I like the vibrator-based chess notifications though. They can stay.

Even when I disabled notifications in windows I’d still get random windows error noises at all hours of the night, and when I checked it in the morning 9/10 times it was some “Try the web browser that was made with windows in mind! Open Edge!” Bullshit.

If I was ever going to try Edge it isn’t because you woke me up last night to tell me to.

Stuff like this is why I disabled windows.

Yeah, I wanted to add a thing about how I’m much more satisfied with Linux because it actually respects my configurations and I don’t have to go digging through 20 years of settings apps, control panels, and permissions dialogues to find out why even though I’d disabled sleep, it kept putting my computer to sleep despite the fact I was running a basic server off it. Literally be in the middle of steaming a movie or something and it puts itself to sleep, wtf.

The first time I rejected the package maintainer's version of a configuration file I felt mad with power.

I only get notifications for new updates on some software, but those are silent and only visual. They disappear after I close them. GNU / Linux is just nice like that
