In an attempt to broaden my horizons I will be listening to an album I have never heard before every day for the next 100 days. I thought it would be fun to post some information about the album alongside my personal thoughts on it. Maybe you can use these threads to discover new music, too. Or if you're familiar with a day's album, maybe you can share your thoughts and recommendations.

Fun Facts

The guitar in this album is played by Pete Cosey. Cosey played with a wide range of artists over his multi-decade career.

This album features remakes and reimaginings of some of Muddy Waters' earlier acoustic songs, and a cover of Let's Spend The Night Together by The Rolling Stones.

The album recieved mixed reviews from fans and critics.

Personal Thoughts

I don't know what to say about this album, it's not that it's a bad piece, it isn't, I guess I just prefer the older versions of these songs. Cosey does an amazing job on guitar, and Waters' vocals sound great, I guess it's just a personal preference. Despite this my favorite track was I Just Want To Make Love To You.

Any big fans of Muddy Waters in here? What do you think about these songs compared to the originals?
