This is the best Eurovision winner that never managed to win Eurovision. Covid 19 absolutely robbed Daði.
That said, in many ways it worked in his favour. Instead of just being the guy who won with a fun, quirky song, he became an underdog who was robbed. People love an underdog, particularly one who's music is so much fun.
Fun fact, this song is about his literal baby, who he had with his wife, who is the curly redhead with glasses in the video.
I love Daði Freyr, this song was my intro to them and still my favorite. My other fave is probably "Endurtaka mig"
