It's felt like we were building to this moment, but I've been expecting it to be a little more drawn out than what we got. I expected there to be more scenes of Aqua noticing Ruby being weird around her birth mom until it finally clicks, or ruby confiding in her brother again enough to talk about her old life a little.

It feels a little abrupt to be honest after all that build up, but at the same time I do like that Aqua likely noticed similarities in personality his whole 2nd life but just didnt put two and two together because he didnt believe the world was just enough to give Serena a happy second life.

I also feel a little sad that it took the past life connection to snap ruby out of her grudge against aqua. Like I get that she's portraying the obsessed fan in a sense, but come on. By all accounts Ruby is your brother. You lived longer with him as your sibling than you lived your first life.
