Epicureanism is a philosophical school of thought that emphasizes the pursuit of simple pleasures such as friendship, basic needs being met, and tranquility. Epicureans do not believe in excessive indulgence and view death as simply the end of existence without pain or suffering. The philosophy encourages individuals to live in the present moment and find contentment in life.

Looking into this, it seems kinda weird(/inconsistent). Though I'm a shut-in who lives without income (and probably already fit the bill if you focus more on low cost/harm) and I often enjoy functional minimalism (at least compared to average) especially in context of something I may create.

Probably unlikely but it would be nice if there were an intentional community for this general lifestyle that I could fit into (though I also have untr.medical issues so that's another issue for community value), but I'm in semi-rural USA and don't drive so I probably wouldn't be able to get there using my legs even if it were a perfect fit.
