Welcome fellow prototypers! This communities' purpose is to help others and share functional 3D Printing related information. While other 3D Printing Communities are a good resource, sometimes too many help posts get buried under memes and fluff. This will remain technically focused and keep the fluff removed. Please help your fellow 3D Printer hobbyists as much as you can with their issues! and showcase your functional prints and how you use or created them.

I added a hole to be able to release the clip after it clicked. No other changes to it. The original part: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2594163 The idea for the hole: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5364218

Stupid question; but since its a single stl, how exactly do you print it as two parts?

Two Options.

1 - Your slicer can split the STL into two parts and you print them at the same time, then glue them together.

2 - You print entire thing. Pause the print 1/2 way through, place the clip and resume the print.
