And then whatever primary you want
Find an incarnon weapon that you like, most of them are primarily slash anyway. Strun Prime Incarnon is 50% slash + hunter munitions and you are shooting aoe shotgun blasts that are primarily slash.
Slash procs dont cut enemies, only raw slash dmg
Hmm pyrana prime then?
While not an weapon, the Kuva Kohm is a pretty good weapon with Innate punch through and is more heavily slash weighted. It does burn through ammo fairly fast though so an ammo mutation mod is a requirement, at least it's a Kuva weapon so you can easily fit a mutation mod into the exilus slot.
It also has very good status chance so Galvanized Aptitude ramps up fairly fast.
Nekros causes more ammo drops :)
I use my old Soma Prime for this, but it struggled in some SP without a riven.
I'm not sure how it goes with its incarnon genesis. Obviously not AoE.
incarnon soma, both the base and incarnon form, shred through steel path with ease
easily the best assault rifle right now
Ehhhh, no, not really. Phenmor and Incarnon Burston both wildly outclass it, and that's if we're excluding Latron on the basis of its Incarnon form turning it into a rocket launcher.
Are either of those primarily slash?
Burston is primarily 40% slash in its normal state and turns into exclusively heat in its Incarnon form. Phenmor meanwhile is 70% slash in its normal state and 57.4% slash in its Incarnon state. If you're able to do so, a good recommendation for Nekros is to equip Amalgam Ripkas True Steel on a pair of Ripkas in your melee slot, as said mod allows for many (i.e the vast majority of) abilities and weapons that otherwise can't dismember enemies to dismember them easily. Some ability/enemy combos get to the point where Desecrate actually has to play catch-up with the amount of body parts it needs to chew through (this is a good thing, though).
It's not -needed-, frankly I haven't found much of a need to focus super hard on dismembering with desecrate myself outside of dedicated loot scenarios when playing Nekros, but it is a very much appreciated added bonus and allows you true freedom in the weapons you wish to choose....so long as you're willing to give up that melee slot, of course.
Great info, thanks!
Miter had always been my favorite before the incarnon and it is even more so now. So many saw blades <3
If you run Ripkas, all your weapons will dismember enemies. Doesn't work on Khora's Whipclaw though, sadly.
Generally you either go into a group with farming in mind, or play for any general build.
For a weapon that can kill a large number of enemies, but also slash proc. Idk of any weapon that can fulfil those requirements without a riven off hand while being SP viable. Maybe Kuva Kohm?
I'd honestly say just use any weapon that is good, if you kill enemies fast enough for general missions you will desecrate enough if you are wanting nekros for something like survival.
Any slashy primary. I like Nagantaka Prime. Ones to absolutely avoid because they dissolve bodies before Desecrate can work:
Ferrox (both kinds) Arca Plasmor (both kinds) Any heat weapon with high status.
I bet the Nataruk destroys bodies, but can’t confirm.
Once you get Arcane Reaper, I don’t think you’ll be firing a primary much with Nekros anyway.
Nataruk does mostly puncture anyway.
Other options include Incarnon Dread and Incarnon Miter, though either might be a little hard to acquire.
