Is it normal behavior for any images clicked on to open in the default external browser and not in the app?

If so is there a way to change it to not do this?

I think Jerboa might have had an update to add that sometime in the last day or two, when I first started using it images would open externally but now they open in the app for me. Website links also open using an internal WebView now which is pretty nice!
