Believe it or not I actually met someone on Reddit. We went out for a few months too.
I once ran an impromptu DnD session with a random user where they stumbled into a hidden thieves den after being run out of town for a crit fail on a performance check. Instead of hiding, the player confronted the thieves directly and managed to impress the leader; joining them to presumably raid the aforementioned town.
I'd say getting upvoted for my original compositions in a small community!
The AMA that Information Society back in 2012. I ran into some old friends from the irc.insoc.org days and renewed those aquaintenances.
I posted a comment on the RuneScape subreddit that suggested Jagex should add action bar combat and abilities and fleshed out ideas for integrating that into RS.
Two years later, Jagex announced the Evolution of Combat update. Someone dug up my old comment thread and posted it as me predicting the update.
That was wild, especially when the EOC damn near killed RuneScape...
