It's so good to be able to say that. I only cracked my egg like 6ish months ago. Still have a long way to go, but it's so nice - it feels like things just make more sense now ๐Ÿ˜Š

Congratulations! Hey Catherine, have you thought about keeping a diary? That's something I really wish I'd have done during my first year. It really is a magical time and having a diary of my first year or two would be a treasured possession despite some terrible circumstances. My first six months were in rehab :) Glad you were able to figure it out and to see you here on lemmy!

Hi Catherine, my name is Silvia! :) I came out just last month! It's been a little stressful (that's an understatement lol) but I also feel like a huge weight has been lifted off of me. I hope things have been going well for you!

It's pretty amazing to come to understand yourself. I remember my first year fondly. I wish you great success in your transition.

Hi Catherine! ๐Ÿ˜„ that first year after realization is special. Time goes by faster than you think it does, and understanding yourself only gets better and better :)

Yeah it's been a lot so far, and I haven't even done much about it. I'm only out to my close friends. ~~And my wonderful fiance of course ๐Ÿ˜ I'm really lucky that she has been so accepting of all this, she's all in~~

We broke up lol

Thats really wonderful, having a partner who loved you for who you are is an amazing thing. I'm currently approaching my second month recovering from bottom surgery and would never have been able to do it without my partner. ๐Ÿฅฐ Coming out can be so hard, but having people who accept you is so important!! Especially having people you feel comfortable being yourself around. Right now you need your people who you can girl out with and feel safe and respected :)

Hi Catherine! Being finally able to tell you're a girl is so liberating! Here's to many more years of euphoria and congruency ๐Ÿฅ‚
