Off the top of my head communities like
r/3rprinting r/instantpot r/todayilearned r/therewasanattempt r/space r/changemyview r/unpopularopinion
Relaxed section for discussion and debate that doesn't fit anywhere else. Whether it's advice, how your week is going, a link that's at the back of your mind, or something like that, it can likely go here.

Off the top of my head communities like
r/3rprinting r/instantpot r/todayilearned r/therewasanattempt r/space r/changemyview r/unpopularopinion
changemyview was fantastic when people were actually open to discussing their view; I witnessed some very thoughtful discussions. Some people would unfortunately hardline their opinion and reply with things like, “Yeah but that doesn’t change my opinion,” and seemed as though they were not actually open to changing their view.
FFXIV, stuff like /r/StoriesAboutKevin and /r/TalesFromTechSupport, and /r/xena
Soccer and photography are probably the two main ones that come to mind for me. I'm really happy to see the new writing community, and I'm excited to see more specific creative communities come about.
AskBeehaw. PC Gaming, Retro gaming, different communities for each major console.
One of my favourites was r/engrish, basically making fun of English misspellings. I couldn't find it so I created it over on https://vlemmy.net/c/engrish Come over and join us and share you favourite misspellings. Already posted a few of my favourites.
I loved the insanity of wallstreetbets. Hm. Maybe better off without lol
A sub for Bike Mechanic stuff - either submit a photo/issue, or brag about new tools kind of thing
I really enjoy the specific game based communities but obv that is a bit of an umbrella.
Videos/mealtimevideos was a big thing for me. They kept me entertained while I ate lunch, lol.
hmmm…. for politics I would say r/neoliberal and r/socialdemocracy
other than that r/anime r/animesuggest r/demonslayer r/19684 r/towerofgod r/lotrmemes r/historymemes and r/mrfruit
I would personally like a fine art related community. Something for critique and discussion of art and art history. It seems like many places I’ve been before turn their nose up at anything abstract or outside the realms of traditional western art.
Travel-focused communities would be lovely, akin to r/travel and r/solotravel among others.
I really like changing my wallpapers, so something for mobile wallpapers. Also, I really enjoyed r/
whatisthisthing for wacky things people found
askdocs and legaladvice for advise on when to seek professional assistance
askreddit (which I see some posts, along with AMA-type things on c/chats)
YouShouldKnow and LifeProTips
Outoftheloop to ask questions for summaries (e.g., Why is everyone talking about Johnny Depp?)
For an askreddit replacement there is an asklemmy community on the lemmy.ml instance !asklemmy@lemmy.ml
Honestly though I hope it doesn't become too much like askreddit. That sub got increasingly repetitive with it's questions (i guess there's only so many questions to ask internet strangers though)
I can't seem to find a movies one, best part of Reddit was looking up discussions of the recently released movies
While probably not needed yet I can see a need in the future for a mini painting/tabletop/ttrpg spin off from the single gaming community if it grows substantially.
My wishlist:
Some that I have come to enjoy on "That other site":
Facepalm InstantKarma KDE Linux (although I appreciate there's a community for OS) ObsidianMD StarTrek Buddhism Astronomy Motocycle (and/or MotoUk) Meditation Archery Rollerblading
r/analog, and more generally r/photography
I'd love to see local community pop up like /r/WashingtonDc or whatever town state you're in
