Haha, yeah it would be a little weird to wake up to clothes that repaired themselves but it would also be cool as as hell and the easiest fix ever

The article does a good job pointing out the main issue with fungal clothing, it will grow beyond self-repair. Perhaps a halfway point like a patch that grows into tears, and deactivated once ready with heat from an iron, like how glue-based clothing patches are used now.

I mean if it's edible I'd be stoked. I never cared for wearing much leather other than gloves but I would be the first in line to buy some shroom fleather, especially if it was magical. Imagine how fucking trippy that shit would be.
