When you've been on Lemmy for a while this might all make some sort of sense, but to everyone else, this is complete and utter madness.
Honestly this is normal for new ecosystems. Right now lemmy is still mostly only attractive to reddit refugees who are also tech nerds. Streamlining will come in time and then the floodgates for eternal summer will open and ruin the platform 🙏

But how are content creators going to make easy money here? I mean churning out mindless drivel in exchange for adrevenue is how they make their living.
I'm actually doing some research on monetization options now. Hopefully going to put together an overview of the options available soon.

By interacting with social media, you are creating a trail, such as I do now.
But in the fediverse, no known entity is granted access to that data as a business model or known force.
And post banned on that subreddit for mentioning a r*ddit alternative in 3... 2... 1...
