Mr P finally tested negative this morning. I'm off back to work, broke as a joke! Wish they hadn't taken away sick pay for casuals, would've really helped. I know you get paid a little extra and you're meant to tuck it away in case you get sick, but in a single income family that ain't happening.

โ€œEat my fuckโ€ is a delicious phrase that I donโ€™t hear enough of.

[โ€“] MeanElevator@aussie.zone 7 points 4 months ago

I love telling people to 'eat my fuck' and watch get offended and confused.

[โ€“] TinyBreak@aussie.zone 7 points 4 months ago (1 children)

I think it'd more be licking it up than eating... but sure.

๐Ÿ˜ The Daily Chair. I gave the chair a rub down using the finest sandpaper and then applied the 3rd coat with long strokes being careful for drips.

It's look so glossy and awesome. Can't wait to use it on a daily basis. ๐Ÿ™‚

Learning modules through work are always a terrible experience. Why are they so clunky and difficult to use? They could just be forms with embedded images and videos

[โ€“] Duenan@aussie.zone 6 points 4 months ago (1 children)

State government ones are pretty bad as well, so much time wasting and they require you to click everything on the page to even be allowed to proceed to the next slide.

Great Ted Cat update.

Ted asked to have his face brushed and the rest of him brushed too. He likes it and I think he sees the need for it. Sadly he isn't a low maintenance Neeb he's a high maintenance Blue Himalayan, which explains his very cute face.

He has knots that we are working on. ๐Ÿ˜ฟ

โ€ข I do not understand the rules of the multiverse.

Thats kind of the point. I think they might've even mentioned that in the film haha

Despite mrs bโ€™s lack of enthusiasm, and a little bit more lenience from her than I would like Iโ€™ve gotta say the bedtime routine seems to be working a lot better with the kid. Thatโ€™s night 2 heโ€™s gone down after 2 stories without it being a shit fight. And weโ€™re only 3 days into the routine.

F yeah found a final breakfast burrito pack in the freezer. Lunch just went from "meh" to exciting.

[โ€“] TinyBreak@aussie.zone 7 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Muscle memory is a heck of a thing hey. I got a coffee at the drive through, used my right hand to put it in the cup holder so used my left foot to go for the break, my brain recoiled cause I guess it was expecting a clutch to go all the way to the floor. Looked down at the gear selector and there was a 3 second delay (though it felt like an eternity) where my brain goes "P? D?! the fuck is this, what do I do?" before it finally clicks and go "oh. Select D you idiot".

2 years we've had some form of auto car now, and for 10 months its been my primary daily driver.

You know how hungry + angry = hangry? Is there a version for hungry + sad? Like I have just felt low key sad all afternoon because I didn't eat enough for brunch. Deprived. Living off digestives until I could get home and eat dinner.

Baldur's Gate 3.

Shall I buy the game as someone who has only ever played Stardew Valley, Nintendo games, and MMORPGs like Club Penguin?

[โ€“] StudChud@aussie.zone 7 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (2 children)

You won't regret it. It's vast, and has so much to discover. The romances are great, the combat is fun (I play on easy/story), and you won't need to know DnD to have a great time.

I haven't done it justice in this blurb, but seriously, it's such a great game. It's different from the games you've listed, but I'd say it's most similar to Stardew with its NPC interactions/romances and dungeoning, with the added bonus of:

  • nudity
  • eldritch beings
  • nude eldritch beings
  • swearing, and
  • Karlach

Edit: this is the last game you'll ever need to buy!

I am sold on BG3, thanks people. Unfortunately though, I went to buy the game and the payment was not going through. So I've decided to wait a while and then hopefully next time it will work. Delayed gratification for the win :)

The warm sun streak ends tomorrow. Sigh, it was nice to feel like I was in a warm exotic location, being able to wear shorts without being cold, no heating required, did wonders for my mood.

There has been night roadworks near me, and my sister was complaining of a high pitched noise coming from drilling. I didn't hear it until she pointed it out. Even though her room is close to mine and we share a wall, I can hear it louder in there.
