Any open source Waze competitors?

My ideal app would have crypto rewards for reporting hazards or uploading dashcam footage that you could redeem for discounts at merchants that pay for in app ads. If anyone makes something like this, cut me in on the IPO lol.

I'll have to look into that and see their privacy policy and how open source their software is. Thank you for the suggestion.

This doesn't sound familiar. FOSS and cryptocurrency generally don't go together (except for donations), and the legality of reporting police locations may vary between countries.

Something like that is not possible open source. No developer or team could afford hosting every driver recording themselves in exchange for coupons.

I also imagine its illegal for GPS systems to integrate advertising in many jurisdictions.

What if you used a federated network?

I still dont think anybody is going to design an app where they are a GPS on the front end and a couponing mint on the backend.
