Wonder if anyone knows where to get decent Carrom boards in South Africa? I did buy one at Makro to only realise later it has straight cut pockets whilst the official rules stipulate rounded pockets with nets, and slightly rounded corners. Preferably it should be plywood at least 8 mm thick but better at 12 mm or 16 mm.

Seems none of the better known Indian boards like Synco, Syn6, Precise, Sisdcaa, GSI Superior, KORNERS, or KD AAR-Kay are available anywhere in SA.

Games shops seem to only sell small board games. Closest I've seen so far is maybe the Himco board that Decor Essentials is selling, or maybe the Fury Cruiser board that SollyM Sports is selling. The Gripstar board at Tenth Sports looks similar, but it has sharp corners and the pockets are not set against the corners really (although it has a good plywood playing surface).

Can see now why people say they often can't buy locally. But maybe I'm missing some place that is not online.
