Ok so this one bugs me, older articles are occasionally in archives but for newer ones 12ft ladder etc dont really work anymore.

Anyone have a workaround?

Firefox with Bypass Paywall Clean D extension

Bypass Paywall Clean D extension

This is the project and what I use for Chrome. I'm not sure what the benefits of "Clean D" is, but this works.

Just checked out the New Yorker site to see if my setup works. No paywalls encountered.

Use Ublock Origin with the Bypass Paywalls Clean List put in as a custom filter. Having NoScript extension sometimes prevents paywalls from showing as well.

Works on Desktop and Android (for Android, use Firefox Developer Edition or Mull browser as you can install Ublock/NoScript).

1ft ladder at 1ft.io?

Have you tried using reader mode in Firefox? Or did they fix that one? Still works for me on other sites like New York Times.

That allows like 5-6 paragraphs not the entire article
