It's exactly what it says on the tin. Anime, manga, and other forms of Asian entertainment like them.

Manhwa/manhua? (self.animeandmanga)
submitted 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) by TheGiantKorean to c/animeandmanga

Anyone here reading any? Are manhwa/manhua discussions welcomed here?

Edit: Currently reading Overgeared, The Breaker: Eternal Force, Dungeon Reset, Reality Quest, Ranker Who Lives a Second Time, and Tales of Demons and Gods. I'm trying to get back into Skeleton Soldier Couldn't Protect the Dungeon, and Tower of God, but they haven't been holding my interest as much lately.

For completed series I've read Pigpen, Pyramid Game, Sweet Home, and Bastard. Only ongoing one I read is Tower of God.

Sweet Home rules and needs more rep!

Just started Sweet Home since two of you mentioned it!

If you liked it check out Bastard too. It's by the same author.

I'll check it it! Sweet Home was not what I was expecting, but I'm liking it so far.

ToG is great. I'm feeling a bit lost at the moment. I might need to go back and re-read some previous chapters because it feels like I'm missing something.

Yeah, especially with the hiatuses that happened. I got lost a lot of times going wait who was that?

[–] TheGiantKorean 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Yes exactly. So many characters.

This recap of season 1-3 has helped https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hIQGMXZrAfk

And there's a recap of season 3 before the hiatus made by webtoon that came out 2 months ago.

Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint is a great read, I ought to catch up. Eleceed, Weak Hero, and Lookism are all decent if its the sort of thing you like to read. You definitely can just pick one and read it and you'll have an alright idea if you'll enjoy the other two. I liked Legendary Moonlight Sculptor quite a bit but that does come with the asterisk that i'm isekai trash and love eating garbage if the garbage has stats that go up on it

Updated my post with what I'm reading right now.

I loved Legendary Moonlight Sculptor at first! The artwork was really different and interesting. I kind of lost interest with the latest artist - something about the way the MC is drawn now makes him seem like a jerk.

Ominiscient Reader is good. I need to get back into that one.

Here's my currently-reading list. I have way more on the "waiting for enough chapters to be released to binge read" list.

  • The Lazy Swordmaster
  • My Senior Brother Is Too Steady
  • The Druid of Seoul Station
  • Legends of the Swordsman Scholar
  • Cultivator Against Hero Society
  • I became Invincible after Descending

Yeah, I wait for series to be complete before getting into them. Once I catch up to manhwa and Mangas the drip feed releases made things not flow as naturally, and then the long hiatuses got painful at times.

I have read some, but most tends to skew down into erotic romance territory.
