Help with garage WIFI (alien.top)

Hello guys,

I live in a flat on the 3rd floor and have a garage across the street. I would like to extend my current wifi to it in order to add some sensors/do some automation stuff.

My question is: what is the best aproach to do this. I have currently a AX1800 Wi-Fi 6 Router that barely reaches the door of the garage.

Did you solve your issue?

I would use a directional yagi antenna. There are instructions floating around on how to make one cheaply using a Pringles can. You can then unscrew one of the “rubber ducky” antennas off your router and attach the pringles can using a “pigtail” (coax), and point it to the garage. That should put a signal right where you need it without brute forcing power into an omnidirecitonal antenna that blankets the whole block.
