I just joined Lemmy / Beehaw coming from Reddit Is Fun after seeing 3rd party apps were shutting down due to the new API cost. I never posted on reddit, was just a lurker of r/nfl, but wanted to contribute this time around and say hi.

I'm a big NFL football fan and would love to see this movement take off. What's your favorite sports? What's going on in the leagues your following?

Sports/Leagues I'm hoping will get a following here: NBA, NFL (although been paying less attention to that) F1, soccer (particularly EFL, I'll be following wrexham in league 2), NWSL & WNBA

Yeah soccer would be great if it gained some traction. Haven't found any community that seem dedicated to it but would really like if there would be game threads and such
