But even “documented” immigrants will not be safe, because Miller has declared that he will pursue the seldom-used process of “denaturalization” to go after people who have been citizens for years or decades, based on suspicions about purported fraud on their naturalization applications. Individuals stripped of citizenship will then be subject to deportation along with Miller’s other targets.

Ok, now that's just terrifying. I'd imagine a lot can be contested and won over using immigration lawyers but not everyone can afford that.

also… naturalized citizens of the US have to renounce their citizenship in their nation of origin. these are people who love america in ways most of us can't understand or even really fathom. and most of them are definitively not safe in their country of origin. this is truly vile shit

I see it being used as a political tool to silence dissent. Speak up? Get you or someone you love deported and have them lose their citizenship.
