can someone explain keycap profiles to me? (self.mechanicalkeyboards)

do they only affect the individual keycaps or the profile of the whole board? like let's say oem are sharp and XDA are rounded, but is there a difference between the height of the rows?

Different keycap profiles do make a difference between the height, yes. This blog post has some graphics that illustrate the height difference of some keycap profiles pretty well.

oh cool, thanks. was just wondering bc it's really annoying to press p on my oem profile board and was considered getting a different profile to help with that. do you know of any places in the us i could go to to test out keyboards rather than ordering and returning?
