My apartment complex just announced a crew is coming tomorrow to install an Eero WiFi mesh network based on Frontier 1 Gigabit "bulk" internet service. We currently have Spectrum Cable internet 300/10 mbps.

What is your experience with Frontier "bulk" internet? I think this is often called 'multifamily'. Is it WiFi only, gigabit fiber to each apartment or shared over dozens of people? Do you think they will mandate a switch over to Frontier only, or will the residents have the choice between Spectrum cable and Frontier WiFi/fiber?

Thanks!

That will be decided by the apartment management. You should ask if you are able to use another ISP, but it will probably be out of pocket.

If you work from home and need secure internet, Frontier bulk is not for you. My sister in law lives in an apartment complex with shared internet. When i did a scan of her network, I could see other people's devices on the network.

The internet itself is shared. If that’s the case, put a router in and you are protected as with any ISP.
