Doesn't using teddit still contribute to the traffic by using the reddit api?

Nope, you can use your own browser to inspect the network and then you'll see its all routed to teddit, what's the difference is if you use teddit even if there's thousands of teddit users it will count as one only since teddit is the one asking for request but if you use reddit users will individually request to reddit api
