EDIT. 4:08 It looks like this is a problem with CKEditor5 under Drupal 10.3. Anyone who has an issue that sounds similar to the title, check out https://www.drupal.org/project/drupal/issues/3458029 for more information.

I've come across a perplexing problem of relatively recent origin. Can't find anything on Drupal.org or any of the normal spots that helps out. I'm hoping someone here may have come across this and might have some ideas.

Recently updated the site to Drupal 10.3.1 as part of the regular update cycle. Also took the opportunity to upgrade PHP to 8.3.9 so we are ready and compliant for D11 whenever it comes along. I have no idea if this is relevant, but I'm including the details just in case.

We have several content types set up, some of which use a combination of Paragraphs and CKEditor 5. Since the update, we've discovered that when you open up a content node that contains some combination of Paragraphs and one or more CKEditor 5 boxes, any previous content is missing in Edit mode. The page seems to still display per normal, but you cannot edit or even see the content in Edit mode.

I saw one aborted discussion on Drupal.org where the person submitting the issue was asked if they had "Limit allowed HTML tags and correct faulty HTML" checked and if unchecking it resolved the issue. The OP never answered the question but as it happens I do not have this checked.

Any ideas? We have a very demanding stakeholder and she's already beginning to hyperventilate about this issue. Thanks in advance.

Have you ever faced any problems on your Drupal websites coming from Drupal core, its contributed modules and themes or do you want to enhance their functionality as per your requirement which can't be possible through your custom modules? As you know we can't apply code directly there, then what could be the solution for this? Well, patching those codes might just be the solution you're looking for.

As the impending end of life for Drupal 7 draws near, the necessity for website owners to consider their migration options becomes increasingly urgent. While the prevailing trend in the Drupal community leans towards transitioning to Drupal 10 to leverage its modern features, some are hesitant due to the associated costs.

In this discourse, we advocate for a different approach by presenting compelling reasons to shift your website from Drupal 7 to Backdrop CMS if you have not already done so.

At his recent State of Drupal keynote presentation at DrupalCon Portland 2024, Drupal founder & project lead Dries Buytaert announced a new direction for the CMS which heavily prioritizes an out of the box user-friendly experience – Drupal Starshot.

While Drupal has been focused on streamlining the platform and its functionalities for enterprise use cases, the new Starshot project will aim to provide an equally compelling and easy to use experience for small to medium sized businesses with less technical capabilities.

Drupal websites sometimes have a need to implement more advanced sorting logic than what's available out of the box. One of our career-changing Drupal training course alumni asked me how to handle this today. After answering them, I decided to copy the answer into a blogpost.

Whether it comes to e-commerce stores, blogs, or standard landing pages, using web forms for Drupal 10 is a traditional practice for many. Their purpose is to add more functionality to your system — you will need a separate form to let end users register on your platform, delete accounts, add data, and much more. Your task is to create a sitemap and understand what business services you are going to offer. Then, you will find the target form in Drupal 10 and make things work innovatively, smoothly, and straightforwardly — no old-school static pages.
