Feel free to ask questions about paint. I owned my own auto body shop in throughout my 20's. There are no shortcuts to perfect work, but different people will have a variety of expectations.

When I was stuck in bed for 2 months straight in 2014 from a broken neck, I got a couple of Sudoku books and did every puzzle in the books. Now I just play Open Sudoku on my phone. Ever since then I kinda measure my pain/mental/overall sleep quality state by checking how fast I can solve the hardest puzzles that have real solutions without guessing. Anything over 5 minutes is bad for me.

Very much this. If I visit the grocery store, I am not walking through other businesses just to get to each isle.

I am perfectly happy with going back to amateur YouTube somewhere else. If it was a real community of individuals I would probably post content again myself. The whole idea of YT as career content creators only is not very interesting to me any more.

I do not use an ad blocker. I use a whitelist firewall. I only visit the websites I request. If anyone wants to show me content, it must be on the servers I wish to visit. As far as I am concerned, if I invite you into my home, you head to the bathroom, open the window and let a dozen people into my home, you're never going to get invited to visit again. This is how ads work.

If YT can't trust these people to host their content directly, that is not my problem.

We probably need a basic politically correct, partisan explanation of differences between major instances on a main page. If hosts are willing, maybe even some basic details about their situation, experience, and intentions. With all the instances, it would be ideal if the potential new user could clearly see stuff like the host's projected ability to scale. If you've got a home lab, scaling is very different than if you're running the instance on Akamai. Maybe also note if the host has other federated services they host.

If you still have trouble with ASA, get a large trash bag and place everything inside it upside down. The bag will definitely seal everything inside.

What is PA-LW like as far as hardness?

I like ABS/ASA because it sands and polishes really nice.

By far the strongest filament I have made structural parts from is Prusament PC blend.

It was before my time. I'm a first was NES generation. How many Atari's were there? They all seem the same to me.

I think this means we will eventually see a fully open source Coreboot/Libreboot soon. Someone correct me if I am wrong please!

the openSIL github repo

I'm not clear about where this API sits relative to the AMD Platform Security Processor.

Funny. I haven't even noticed as I am not subscribed to anywhere this is taking place. The only thing I've seen is Gaywallet's fork essay and a few crazy comments about the Lemmy dev's I'm an open communist info.

I'm no political buff and don't want to become one. I think most ideologies are oversimplified nonsense that does not encompass the needs of the true majority in any instance. They all require compromises that encompass parts of other opposing theories. However, a person committed to a community centric ideology sounds like the perfect fit as the developer of a federated social media platform.

The down vote visibility should be a user settings option for everyone IMO

They won't see much of a monetary hit from most of the people that were using the free API. It will be like YT since 2017; a slow decline and complete loss of technical utility. It will be another zombie garbage platform because this is all the company is focused on. It is a massively oversimplified perspective of where value is created in reddit. I believe the entire house of cards is anchored by the most niche and obscure places that have useful information and support. Monetizing the types of users that make up these communities is completely counter productive. These are the true influencing anchor users that everyone is grounded to all the way down the intellectual pyramid (plateau). All the other social stuff is peripheral to the technical utility of knowing you can find an answer to a super obscure question by asking on reddit. It is just like how you used to be able to find the answer on YT; now you can't find that one video posted by the expert that had 3 uploads 10 years ago. This is the change reddit is making. It will take time for this utility to errode away but this outcome is guaranteed.

Make it through the UC Berkeley CS61a/b/c lectures and follow up by finishing CS162 on operating systems (posted free online). I started messing with the Linux CFS for CAD project optimisation. I want to try and modify the scheduler for an option to scale the timeslice based on non voluntary context switching when a process is pinned and isolated on a CPU core or set. I can only write in spaghetti ++ ATM.

What about leaving the account with all the edited messages? I mean if they don't care, why should we.

What about whitewashing options?

Better yet LLM code injection? Possible?

When you design several features you don't need and still haven't used...

Some are very useful though. Every possible DoF has its own adjustable end stops; not super useful yet. The extra rear rod is the stop contact for left and right rotation of the head. The ability to replace the heatset insert iron holder and modularity of the entire design; is not super useful. A ton of mods to tune out and preload all of the backlash is super useful. I can drill 0.4mm holes without breaking bits... at least not due to the press mechanism backlash. There is a single LED light with a lipo battery, charge controller, and CMOS 555 that acts as a single point source light guide. If you are not aware, a single point source light will cast a shadow from the drill bit showing its exact location reliably; super useful. The dial calipers are attached as a digital readout. It is 0.1mm repeatable, maybe a little better but not much. I mostly intended to use it for heatset inserts but still have not done so. The caliper mount is part of the press alignment mechanism too. The dremel is secured in a threaded lower mount and with a ring clamp at the back of the body. There is a shroud around the dremel that redirects the motor exhaust output to blow away dust while drilling. There are also several mount points integrated inside and outside of the base of the unit and intended for additional work holding jigs (not pictured, used, or well developed).

These are all custom designs fitted to the specific parts all the way down to things like casting defects unique to this unit. This is not the kind of project that should be shared or posted publicly as a printable project. You would never be able to replicate this based on the meshed files even if you had the same models of parts. Sharing this is only intended for design inspiration.

This system can be adjusted and securely locked in place. This example is a M42 2mmp. A printed tool fits the clamp collar outer spline to adjust tension on a bicycle crank while the base is attached to the crank spindle.

Also, this is ABS (Polymaker) after sanding and polishing. ABS (and ASA) sands and polishes extremely well taking a polish better than any other filament I have tried. Polishing maintains/improves structural integrity without needing extensive measures to offgas like with acetone.

Prusament PC blend is the strongest and longest lasting material I have tested in this application. While you will not be able to see this in the pic, when PC is polished it still maintains tiny imperfect inclusion lines that are from the printing process. These do not go away if the extrusion temperature is increased and they are not limited to extrusion line boundaries. They are present throughout, are smaller than a human hair, and only directly noticeable upon very close inspection.

While I am partially disabled from a broken neck 9 years ago, on a road bike the damaged area is neutral. I am a former amateur racer and a clydesdale of a cyclist. The only time of the day I can really fake being normal is on a bike, and I never lost my race legs. I only mention it because it should paint a picture of what is possible with prints like this and what this part has held up to. I have tested dozens of design iterations over the last 2 years and most filaments in this project just to see how they hold up.

Hopefully you find design ideas interesting like I do, and this gets you thinking. If so, please share similar types of ideas and discoveries.

Anton is by far my favorite science communicator. I usually watch him on New Pipe, but don't want to share YT links on Fedi. Perhaps Odysee is a better user respecting option. I don't know for sure, but it is the link source for this post

Hello. I just figured I'd mention this exists and should be similar to r/bikewrench as far as repair specific help, but I am also including sharing shop repair resources if anyone wants to post informative first person noncommercial content to share with others.

Assuming bikewrench gets traction, I will need any help I can get. I am mostly a hardcore roadie and haven't worked in a shop in 6 years.

I'm both impressed and disturbed at the disappearance and lack of executable. I know the basics of the 3 way permissions model for Android but am no expert. I am on Graphene. How does this work?
