Agreed, I’d put The never ending sacrifice at the top

I get the complaints But singing a Klingon opera might not be as dishonourable!

Civilisation IVs Baba Yetu. Still gives me chills. I’ve seen it performed by a small choir and is just as good. https://youtu.be/IJiHDmyhE1A

I’m deep into tears of the kingdom at the mo. I’m trying to map the depths but it’s a nightmare to navigate!

It’s my go to mobile game. It will auto shutdown if you leave it long enough but will save your progress and start you at that point on the next load

It’s interesting that you felt betrayed by Miller not being the main character. In the book his chapters are a good example of unreliable narrator.

He comes across as a good guy and a good cop. It’s only later you realise he is unpopular which is why he was dumped with the Earther and his reputation as a drunk earned him an investigation they wanted done poorly.

Maybe the show got a similar result to the book in a different way.

I liked him too though and was gutted by his fate.

I’m probably alone in remembering this game but I loved Hardwar back in the day. It’s an Elite style trading game set on Titan. The player pilots a ‘moth’ ,a small flying craft, between craters.
It had an interesting story that played out as you explored with areas blocked out, due to events, and made accessible later on.

The developer closed doors but IIRC at least one member of the team released a patch that had been developed later on.

I played it pretty obsessively and it had a small passionate community but it wasn’t a hit.

I couldnt speak to them as Ive never tried the mods. They look cool though.

I first got Stardew, on my switch, during my university days. My wife and myself spent a couple of weeks over christmas playing everytime we could. I have purchased it on PC but not really played it.

I mainly play it now on my phone, its a perfect stress reliever, I can nip on for 5 minutes and still achieve something. Neither support the mods!

One day I will get into the mods! oh yes

I think I would have to go with Stardew Valley. It has something for any mood I’m in.

I can spend my time on the farm, looking after the animals, crops, reorganising. I can go and be social with the neighbours, help them out, do some work towards the community centre. If I feel adventurous I can go explore the mines fighting monsters.

Where I’ve done all that I can start again on a new farm and try a different strategy, I can even play with friends and work together. Its just cozy fun.
