Yes. Someone has to deliver it from farms, and it's often common to have a delivery service to people houses, depending on the state.

The difficulty of keeping something working scales exponentially as its complexity grows. Something of 1x complexity take 1y effort, but 2x complex is 10y effort, 3x complex is 100y, on and on.

Phones/computers/apps are at hilarious levels of complex now, and even 100k people running flat out can barely maintain the illusion that they "just work." Add enshittification heaping its intentionally garbage experience onto the unintentional garbage experience that is modern computing, and it's just gotten stupid.

But notice how he pretends he secretly agreed it should not be done, even though he proposed it and then did not agree that it was the wrong action at the time, which makes him look severly bonkers, as it should.

Hes just sane washing his own insane actions in his new book, recasting history to make excuses for his bad behavior.

He goes into partygate excuses as well, when his staff were breaking lockdown rules his government set, and claims "ohh, I didn't even have cake at my party. It didn't even occur to me it was a party without cake."

Just complete bollocks.

Hes discredited himself. His administration is 100% pay to play. Not only is he facing multiple federal inditments for bribery, most of his immediate staff have both resigned and are themselves under federal investigation for other bribery and extortion schemes.

I really do mean who paid him off. It's how things get done under his admin, no matter whether they have merit or not.

I wonder who paid him off to get this implemented.

Its pretty clear the only green hes interested in is money.

Redhook made two amazing games, the second being a tremendous leap forward from the first.

It's sad that that quality is likely over, but at least those will stand the test of time.

Even trademark shouldn't apply, as this is a child name, not a mark he uses for trade, I.e a company name or product. No one is going to confuse a kid not selling anything to a corporation competing with Disney.

This was someone at the UK passport office fucking up. Wonder if the EU would have made the same mistake.

Still no "I'm sorry."

Sobbing about how she "is biracial and wasn't raised with hate" and how "I live next to Haitians and have no issues with them" and how she now "hates herself for making that post."

All me, me, me. No actual "I'm sorry for what I did. It was wrong, and I won't do it again."

I don't buy the "I have no problems with Haitians" statement either. The post is full of vile racism and lies specifically about Haitians. It doesn't just talk about cats. She also claims shes verified other animals were killed, things we know are a lie.

No one posts that kind of garbage without wanting to vilify a group of people. You don't post this:

Without hate in your heart.

My teams new hire project manager was even more advanced. When they found out we were working on 5-10 projects at once with no PM, they quit.

We had 3 PMs when I started here, and have been down to 0-1 for 6 months. That 0-1 runs a whole unrelated team, but is technical still a PM.

Dysfunction is fun. The plus side? No one asks me for estimates.

Corporations hide crimes all the time, even when they are the victims. If the crime will lose them money in any way, either directly or from a reputation hit, it's very likely a company will not report it.

It only because the employees involved had their NDAs expire and confirmed they saw some very fucked up things that we know what he did.

Twitch fired him publicly when he was one of their biggest streamers. It's fully possible the explicitly sexual messages are a crime, but the parties involved, including the minor victim, did not want it reported.

You can argue amazon should have reported it anyway if it rose to that level, but with none of the involved parties forcing the issue, it makes sense from a buisness stance not to.

Yeah, this is the normal price of a house in many large cities. It's a lot mind you, but an adult in a high paying field can get a mortgage that covers that.

You don't need a million dollars to buy a million dollar house. You need to be able to make a million dollars and enough to live on in 30yrs, or whatever the length of the mortgage is. Someone in their 30s-40s can fit that bill, so just be yourself.

If they ask if you have financing, say yes. If they ask more questions, say you will be glad to discuss that after the tour. Afterwards, just politely say you're not interested and leave.
