Of course, arthouse does not automatically equal good. They're good movies because they're good ideas from people with a vision, and A24 gave these people funding and a platform for their vision, (seemingly) without asking them to make compromises for the sake of profit. This new strategy could take that away.
People will always find ways to make their arthouse movies. The difference is A24 made them easy to find and arguably popular.
I wouldn't say people don't want to watch that, just that that's not what these shows were about. Other successful shows deal with that very topic.
Did you play the original? Most complaints I saw seemed to focus on that comparison. Itself in a vacuum, it sounded like it was fine.
I seem to recall Xbox making claims they wanted this console generation to be "the last" because they wanted to make frequent iterative upgrades instead. I feel like they changed to the opposite mentality now, if the lowest common denominator can't handle it, nobody gets to play.
Dance Gavin Dance have had three "eras," though most fans seem to like all of them despite maybe having a favorite. They started with Johnny Craig on vocals for their first EP and record, then fired him and got Kurt Travis for two albums, then brought Johnny back for another album, then replaced him again with Tilian Pearson for the rest of their career to date (aside from a small tour where he was replaced by Andrew Wells due to a rehab stint.)
I'm not one to rush to Dylan's defense on much, but 50 years can do a lot to change a person's mind.
Exactly. They recognize that defederation is the nuclear option, but it's the only effective tool they have at the moment.
Also started seeing this today while browsing on my work computer, which I believe utilizes a VPN.
