Except for my medications, which I am now working to move to another pharmacy, I haven't bought anything at target since I learned about the boycott

Within the first 10 seconds it falsely claims Proton requires you to use an emailaaddress to create an account. I stopped after that.

You sound like me lol. I had a lemur first snd upgraded to a pangolin a few years ago. I do a lot of gaming on my pangolin, but mostly indie games. Per Aspera, parkitect, firewatch, stuff like that. It will play Valheim but it's a little choppy on low.

I expect the latest version of the pangolin would run better. Not only is it a much improved APU, it looks like it has vastly improved cooling.

I recently got a TCL TV that has Google TV on it. The reason I chose it, even tho it's not the highest quality 4K capable TV, is that on first boot it gives you the option to choose dumb TV or smart TV modes. Have never connected it to the internet. Maybe you would have some luck looking into that!

Very nice! I don't find this a one up but I love the ingenuity. I managed to salvage this NUC from work because we shut down a zoom room from a agency we acquired at work and then disposed all the unneeded /nonuniform hardware. Before that point, I was looking at doing something quite similar to you.

I also had to use get an hdmi dummy plug. That was an annoying stumbling block. Just, why??

I have an i7 NUC that I use as my jellyfin server cause it has hardware transcoding. It absolutely rips and takes up less electricity at full bore than my gaming desktop at idle. I agree that there's a place for mini computers, but it's probably not serious gaming.

Well this is really helpful. I loved the original KCD. Backed it, have it on GOG. Was hyped for the second one. Now I won't be getting it.

FF VII and FF VIII where the first two games I played in the series, but i was very young and didn't really know what I was doing. I think we had rented one game, and borrowed another. I really don't remember much about either game, but FF IX came out on ps1, and to this day it's my image of what FF means.

The unique worlds, characters, incredible (at the time and not bad for today) cutscene cinematic. It was the first game I discovered you can outpace yourself and wind up in a battle with a level 60 dragon when you're only level 13.

My brother really got into FF X and i remember watching him play. To this day, I hate Blitzball lol. We both sucked at it.

FF VII-2 for the psp was actually really cool. I don't remember much anymore but the story, gameplay, and music were all great. I would like to try replaying it!

I played a little of XIII and quite a few hours of XV. The games have really changed. Especially XV, some things have improved for the better but there's a lot of tropes and unfortunate stereotypes that could have been...removed.

Edit: Vivi is the best FF character! 😊

I feel this. In some ways it was a relief discovering that I didn't need to keep up with gaming anymore. I would just play what I want want to play, when. But unfortunately I've missed (or even forgotten) about a lot of games I really wanted to play.

When we were purchasing new dell laptops for work a 2 years ago, the change to lpddr was an oversight and we bought models with 8gb of ram. Since these are effectively not upgradeable for us, they're going to age out sooner than they should. We were not very happy...

Luckily we caught this fairly quickly at least, and it only represents a few percent of our total inventory. I hate this anti consumer design.

I had been craving nachos (my favorite food group!) for several weeks. Going out with my partner to get some has been challenging because of our hectic schedules lately so I decided on my free evening after work last Friday, I would get busy making my dreams come true.

Everything in these nachos (aside from the obvious products such as the dairy products) were all made from scratch! I took inspiration from a few recipes for components and assembly (BA's Fully Loaded Nachos, Serious Eats Ultimate Nachos), but this is ultimately just something I dreamed up and executed!

My first ever Ultimate Nachos with:

  • roasted tomato salsa with chipotle peppers (i was getting tired and instead of making 4 salsas, I combined everything for my last two salsa into one, so it is sort of a tomatillo/tomato mix)
  • fresh Avocado-Tomatillo salsa
  • pico de gallo
  • black bean spread (https://www.bonappetit.com/recipe/fully-loaded-black-bean-nachos-red-green-salsas)
  • pickled onions and jalapenos
  • guacamole
  • Topped with Montery and Jack cheese, queso fresco, radish, fresh jalapenos, cilantro, sour cream, and grilled chicken

It was absolutely delicious and devoured in its entirety by 4 people. Mission accomplished. Dream achieved.

Hi everybody! I just finished preparing a batch of Kimchi! I based my recipe off a mix of Maangchi and a recipe I got from Mother's Kimchi. I am going to leave it out on the counter for a day or two and then stick it in the fridge to slowly fermented for 2 weeks at least.

This is the first time I am using my Crazy Korean/e-Jen fermenter. I am hopeful it'll work out better than the large ball jars i've used in the past. The inner lid that slides down into the container creates a significantly better, and easier seal to keep stuff submerged. (side note: the marketing states there is Onggi clay in the plastic, and even if it is, I don't believe it'll do anything)

Basic recipe: 3lb Napa Cabbage, 2.5tbsp Japanese sea salt (comparable to Korean brining salt) 1lb Korean Radish, Carrot, green onion, garlic, onion, mother's fish sauce.

I generally keep the salt low in Kimchi. I use less salt than typical (2-3tbsp) I rub the leaves with salt and let it wilt for 2 hours, then wash leaves. With the additional fish sauce I add, the salt content has been more than enough to safely ferment but not going overboard.

In recognition of Juneteenth I cooked up a few things for dinner: Charleston Red Rice, (Instant Pot) Collard Greens, and Black Eyed Pea salad. Everything was so delicious!

Hi Beehaw! Last week, I made an authentic gumbo with a painstaking dark roux and ate it while watching The Princess and the Frog with my girlfriend. I quite enjoyed cooking a meal that matched the movie and wanted to do a themed dinner again for our next movie, Encanto!

I haven't seen Encanto yet but I'm vaguely aware it's Colombian. Does anyone have suggestions for popular Colombian dishes? I am a hobbyist cook so long and intricate recipes aren't a turn off. I live in Southern California so I have lots of access to Mexican and international markets.

Thanks and looking forward to your suggestions!

First post and I'm excited for this community! I want to share one of my very favorite things, Salsa! 😁

Salsa 1 is a tomatillo salsa with mulatto pepper. salsa 2 is a tomato salsa with Chipotle and guajillos peppers.

I constantly make variations based on what I feel like trying, inspired by, or craving!

Hope other people will share their favorites!
