Did archive.org just get another top level domain? If that's the case then yeah definitely it's some kind of bug. I hope they get it sorted out. They're definitely one of the good guys.

Archive.org's goal is to archive as much of the Internet as possible for the long term, like most archivists, and is backed by a nonprofit foundation. The "wayback machine" is only one part of what Archive.org does.
Archive.is has the more modest goal of taking on-demand snapshots of web pages in case they change

Good. I like the idea but it's a PITA. It's nice to know it's not just me
