Was thinking of trying my hand at my own corned beef this year. I'm of Irish decent, but have never celebrated st paddy's beyond getting wasted lol. Maybe whip up some colcannon too? Anyone have any great recipes for corned beef? Or any tips for other dishes to include? I know corned beef and cabbage is an Irish American thing, maybe someone has some more common Irish dishes to recommend?

I had some mushrooms that happen to have been rinsed underwater. I didn’t want to cook with them today and I heard that it’s not good to store them once wet.

So I put them in the air fryer to dry them before storage. This caused them to release their fluid and now they are wetter than ever.

Can anyone advise on how I can store these safely for another two days?

There was this dish my mom used to make. Mom was the only one who knew how to make this and never wrote down the recipe, so when she passed away, it was lost. We called it potato bread, but it's not actually bread. I never made it myself, but this is what I remember from watching. It started with a simple dough. I think it might have been just flour and water. Divide the dough in half and roll it out. Line a casserole dish with one half of the dough. Peel, dice, and cook some potatoes. Drain and mash them. Add them in the dish, then add a layer of cheese. Then add the other half of the dough on top and pinch it shut so that the potatoes are completely enclosed. I think some melted butter was brushed on top. Then it went into the oven for some unknown length of time and temperature.

When I search Google for potato bread, all I can find are loaves of bread, which is not what this is. Anyone know this recipe?

What seasonings would you say make up a complete pantry? I'm trying to get a list full of everything that I want to start making sure I always have a jar in, as there is nothing worse than going to make something only to realise "Oh I'm missing fenugreek" or Aleppo pepper or something like that.

Give me your suggestions; Salt, Pepper....
