It seems like I can't even use it anyways, lol. I'm using Linux Mint and the software required to build it is outdated.

So I just read the article and I was right and I'll be editing my comment to reflect that.

Also, I did just re look at the tweets, they weren't calling for the mass genocide of gay people, they were calling for the mass genocide of jewish people. The problem was that the tweet was linked with another tweet where they used the F-slur, so I forgot they said "jews" and not the F-slur. I'm going to have fix that too.

Just out of curiosity, have you even seen any of the tweets that I'm referring too?

While I have no problem with what Sweet Baby Inc does, I hate that all of the articles defending them (like this one) refuse to acknowledge a lot of the reasons why they are getting backlash. Like all of the tweets from SBI employees that either use racist/anti-LGBT slurs or advocate for the mass genocide of Jewish people or the fact that this whole thing started because SBI started a harassment campaign towards the creator of a steam group despite not having any information that actually proved that the group was in the wrong and also ignoring the fact that the group was created by someone from Brazil and claiming that the group was created by right-winged conspiracy theorists.

I don't know if you are looking for anything specific but here is a list of some of the games that I would recommend trying:

The Harry Potter games, the PS2 version of these games seem to be heavily inspired by the N64 era Zelda games as they have a lot of similarities. Chamber of Secrets is, at least in my opinion, the best of the three but the other two games are still worth checking out. Also, something interesting to note is that, unlike how games for these systems normally are, the PS2 versions of these games are technically better than both the GameCube and Xbox versions due to porting issues and some other poor design choices.

The Sly cooper games, these games, especially 2 and 3, are speculated to be direct inspiration for the Assassin's Creed games. Some say that Sly 2 is the best, while others say that 3 was the best, but I don't know which one I prefer.

Monster house, I know that this is a bit of a weird one to mention, but it was a really good game. The game is similar to Resident Evil 4 in both gameplay and atmosphere. It's one of the rare examples of a movie licensed game that was actually good.

Pac-Man World 2 and 3, both which are action platformers. I personally prefer 3 but 2 had a better soundtrack (I don't know why they put that much effort in the OST of a Pac-Man game).

While I have no interest in using a service like this, I understand why they are doing this. I would imagine that a service like this probably costs a lot to run and it looks like they are adding them in a sensible way. It's not like how a lot of mobile games are where the game just randomly stops in the middle of game-play to show you an ad.

It depends on the game. If the gender has an effect on the stats or gameplay, I may choose a female character if I think it would either benefit my character build or make the gameplay more interesting. If it's just cosmetic, I will play as a female if I think the male characters look ugly and the game doesn't have a femboy option.

I agree with that and some of the artists I listen to actually do use platforms where you can purchase their music directly but unfortunately buying the music directly just really isn't viable for me. Platforms that use ads for monetization are really the only way that's viable but the artists I listen to only use Spotify, or if they do use other platforms, they just use them for demos and other promotional stuff.

You know what, this makes me feel a lot better about using an ad-blocker when using their site. Although, I would prefer if the artists I listen to didn't exclusively use Spotify for some reason.

I could but someone else reminded me of a better solution, which was to just move the rows to another sheet.

[–] vortexal@sopuli.xyz 1 points 1 year ago

I know about hiding and un-hiding but the problem is that, if I needed to edit them, I would then have to un-hide them, edit them, and then re-hide them.

For example, if I wanted to always see rows 5, 10 and 15, as far as I can tell, I would have to freeze every row from 1 to 15. But is it possible to only freeze the specified rows so that if I scrolled down, the first four rows could be 5, 10, 15 and 20.

Like I said, I'm not having the issue anymore.

Also, I tried to check the smart info but the option is gray-out, is there something I need to do before I can check it?

I'm not sure what fixed it because I tried multiple things yesterday, but it shutdown normally last night.

If you don't know what App Watcher is, it's an app that allows you to get notified when apps on the Google Play store receive updates even if you don't have them installed.

Brave is my primary web browser but every page I visit isn't being rendered correctly at all and some pages are completely broken. I have a system backup from a few days ago but I'd prefer not to have to use it if I can. I think Brave is the only thing that was affected but I think I should try to revert the update if it's possible.

Edit: I was able to run some benchmark tests, so I don't need help with this anymore, but after running the tests, I'm pretty sure my computer is having hardware issues. I don't really have any other options, though, so I just have to deal with it.

The computer I was using stopped working and I had to switch to a different computer but despite having a significantly better GPU, games are performing only slightly better. I want to benchmark test the GPU to see if it's a potential hardware problem or if something else is causing a bottleneck.

I'm currently using Ubuntu and I want try a different distro but so far the only one I've tried was Porteus but I had an issue where Porteus wouldn't boot if it was installed on top of ext4 but would boot fine if it was installed on top of fat32, which is also another potential problem because Porteus requires a save file for persistence when using Windows filesystems. If there is a problem where my computer can't boot with an ext4 filesystem, Ubuntu doesn't have this problem because sda1/2/3 all use a different filesystem.

If I'm correct on this, would I be better off trying Porteus on ext3/2 and hoping it works or just use it with fat32 and have a separate partition formatted for ext4 to serve the same purpose as sda3 in Ubuntu and possibly store the save file (if I have the correct understanding of how save files work).

Also, I would just use NTFS but not only have I heard that it has issues with Linux, I've had issues using it with Linux, so I'm using fat32 for stability.

I usually keep the WiFi off but on my "new" phone, the WiFi adapter will randomly be on when I turn the phone on. So far I've tried the following, in order of when they show up in settings:

  1. In advanced WiFi settings, I've disabled "keep WiFi on when screen is off" but it seems to completely ignore this.

  2. Turned off WiFi scanning in the location settings.

  3. I checked app permissions but the permission to connect to WiFi either doesn't seem to exist or it's listed as something different. (If it's listed as "change system settings", I've already disabled all of the apps that had that.)

  4. I don't know if it had any impact on this issue but I did technically do a factory reset but it was for a completely different reason.

I've tried "just Googling" it but every article that pops up, either tells me to do something that my phone doesn't seem to have the options for or it tells me to do something I've already tried. The phone is an LG Rebel 4 running android 8.

Her phone is having two issues:

  1. Texts from other phones are received several hours after they were sent when she's away from home, texts that she sends always go through instantly. If she's at home, she always gets texts instantly.

  2. Her phone keeps coming up as "offline" on some other phones.

As I stated in the title, I'm not familiar with phones, so I have no idea where to even start with this. I have done nothing more than a google search that didn't give me any results relevant to the issues.
