I play solo as almost every modern boardgames are not sold in my area, and usually I play what's in the app.

I just discovered there is unique maps, it seems they haven't implemented that on app.

I mostly play solo right now, usually digital ported one. I occasionally enjoy Small World 2, Imperial Settlers Roll & Write, and Star Realms.

But my favorite for all time is social deduction of Blood on the Clocktower. It fixes Werewolf/Mafia problem by having Storyteller controlling the game + all roles have powers or altering the game significantly + roles in game limited to several possible ones thanks to script. And it also has layers from official script; the most beginner friendly script Trouble Brewing has so much depth, I think I still learning new things after 1 year of playing. Try it out for social deduction, online playable. This is as great as discovering Two Rooms and A Boom.

Seeing this post, I am seeing how I still trying to create a world where there are five big factions and several minor factions try to coexist in a form of card games and RPG for years now. It has very much inspired by Urban Rivals worlds and abilities mishmashup, an indie card games that I played so much. One of the faction of Urban Rivals called Uppers are indirectly an inspiration of one of the faction.

This is put on hold because the story that new players see. It is better for them to begin in one of the factions, yet each faction is designed that they have big biases on their worldview. This hits a roadblock.

Boots of Bearing + Greaves + TP Boots weirdly is one of my go to build if the games goes late as support. When a fight broke and you are not first target, just activate both boots when your carry arrives at the scene. Both boots also good at pushing hg too.

Bristle Veil + Aghs. Especially against illusion heroes like PL and CK before they get 5-6 slotted. That 6 second difference can be the end of your supports or not.

Abba carry, with Echo Sabre + Orb of Venom in midgame. Universal heroes have high damage output can snowball you if opponent do not have evasion or blink.

People in EU has active and vibrant community, less so in NA. Asia and Oceania basically nonexistent. There is still no alternative to this game and their gamemodes + creative maps, so it is still popular.

Right now booster draft format is getting more and more polished each day. Many people said March of the Machine is one of top 5 set to draft, after saying it the same for Dominaria United last year and before that, Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty. This also helps people who build their own custom limited set (cube) and commander to find their niche getting more and more supported. I like the direction of this game going on limited design.

The new blue spell is great by stopping etb effect unlike Fatal Push.

Dirty Bomb. Think Insurgency/TF2 Payload map but with Valorant playstyle and graphic. This works surprisingly well and create a lifelong communities that still active to this day despite the game is unsupported by dev years ago. On top of that, the maps layout are memorable, something that TF2 Payload map and Insurgency Capture lack.

There are several QoL already for position 5 as of late.

  • Wisdom Rune grant you level regardless who picks it up.
  • Blood Grenade helps as second or third disable when ganking.
  • You can stack camp on outpost area (top and bottom parts of map) instead close to midlane
  • Dust of appearance reveals area, so when you are killed by invisible heroes you still reveal the core that killed you unless they leave the area.
  • Portal is a godsend if one of sidelines has a problem.

What are your thoughs on position 5 in 7.33?
