Prolly Clojure. He's heavily on Clojure these days.

To me, it's quite the opposite! I feel like Silt Striders are kind of cozy, actually. What can be more comfortable and safe to travel than on the back of a big bug-giraffe? They are sweet, calm, non-aggressive, domesticated creatures.

The red, green, and blue buttons in the footer seem to do nothing.

They should change the primary color in the UI - are you sure it's not doing this for you? Maybe it's just enough of a subtle change that it's not immediately noticable?

Yeah, I totally missed that. It's actually pretty subtle. Got it now though. 👀

Oh, and hey, just wanted to drop a quick thanks for putting in the work on this Lemmy instance. 😘❤️

Cons:

  1. I'm already accustomed to the light theme of Lemmy and can't find how to switch from dark to light in "Next."
  2. When I scroll down to the end, there's 2/3 of the screen that is not being utilized. 2a. The red, green, and blue buttons in the footer seem to do nothing.
  3. The notion on every post that "Your IP is hidden from another Lemmy instance" is kind of annoying and useless. Why is it there?
  4. I dislike a little that it tries to copy the old Reddit interface. Although that interface wasn't bad, and I'm the one who would first say "don't fix what isn't broken," I'm more prone to seeing something new, some experimentation. Right now it feels more like "next to the old Reddit," which isn't exactly bad, but still...

Pros:

  1. I kind of like how images work on "Next." It feels faster and more "in place." It's simpler for me to distinguish between different types of posts (image, link, video).

P.S. I'm on the latest stable Firefox (124.0.2).

What's that little black thing that kinda looks like a tiny antenna in the top right corner, right next to the battery indicator/percentage?

Games really have to strike a chord with me to stick around in my memory. The last ones that truly left an impression were from when I first got into gaming. I can still vividly remember the impact of Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven, GTA 3, and Vice City and San Andreas—they consumed my thoughts entirely. The allure of uncovering hidden secrets, areas left unexplored, that's what really drew me in. Half-life 2 was a mind-blowing breakthrough with its physics and storytelling. But nowadays, that spark just seems to be missing. The closest I've come recently was with Blizzard's Heroes of the Storm. The thrill of snatching a victory against the odds, the sense of connection with total strangers—it was something special. It's the only game that still gets my heart racing these days. However, I've found myself drifting away from HotS more and more; it feels like the game is losing its luster (or maybe it's Blizzard who's letting it fade... or perhaps MOBAs in general are falling out of favor). As for recent gems that really struck a chord with me, I'd have to mention Hollow Knight, Control (seriously underrated in my opinion—easily one of the best metroidvanias out there, if not the best), and Baldur's Gate 3, which was unexpectedly captivating.

I spent about 30 seconds staring at this question, followed by 3 minutes pondering how to explain the phenomenon of electricity to someone unfamiliar with it, but nothing came to mind. Then, I went online and found that, while we have some understanding of how to detect and manipulate electricity, fundamentally, it's just how our universe works and we don't know exactly what it is.

Disco Elysium: Final Cut resembles more of an immersive audiobook experience, featuring exceptional narrators. As someone with ADHD, focusing on text can be challenging for me, but the audio format greatly enhances my engagement and comprehension.

I'm going to be heavily downvoted again, but can y'all please stop posting Al Jazeera links? Al Jazeera is propagandistic media. They lie too often to be trusted. Every word that they say should be heavily fact-checked.

This doesn't actually look that bad. Kinda structured and all. Have you seen the LLVM documentation? https://youtu.be/208K8EnSlB0
